Stellix is a firm believer that everyone should have the opportunity to pursue a fulfilling career in the life sciences. Bioversity trains underrepresented and low-income populations in the Greater Boston and Lowell areas for early career jobs at local life sciences companies. We are proud to have been a gold sponsor of Bioversity in its inaugural year and continue our support through our events, sponsorships, and connections with employees and customers.

About Bioversity

Bioversity  is a non-profit organization initiated by MassBio. The organization focuses on implementing industry-driven, expanded workforce training programs. Bioversity manages training centers, develops educational programs, and forms partnerships to equip Massachusetts residents with the skills and practical experience needed for successful careers in the life sciences sector.

The program acts as a central hub connecting learners, employers, educational institutions, and community organizations, streamlining the life sciences workforce development ecosystem. This collaboration helps job seekers find opportunities more quickly and provides employers with access to a diverse and extensive talent pool.

Workforce Training Centers in Boston and Lowell

Bioversity runs dedicated workforce training centers in Boston, in partnership with Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and one in Lowell in partnership with UMass Lowell. The centers feature both lab and classroom spaces to provide technical and soft skill training to residents to prepare them for early career roles at life sciences companies. Bioversity's core training is an 8-week, free, stipend supported program that prepares students for entry-level lab operation roles. In its first year, Bioversity graduated 65 students.
